Hi, I’m Fran Lynch from Dublin, Ireland. I am 24, a fourth year student of Architecture in Waterford Institute of Technology. I am currently working at RPBW in Paris, but I am seeking work for Feb-Aug 2013.
I have a particular interest in the manipulation of light in Architecture, I carry out detailed light studies in all projects and my designs are driven by these studies
I work with Autodesk products, Google SketchUp, Adobe products, Vectorworks and Rhinoceros. I am familiar with both Microsoft Windows and Mac Os. A recommendation and details of my work during my internship in Copenhagen and Paris are available upon request.
When not working I love art, music and travel, improving my Spanish language skills when I can.

The Renzo Piano Foundation is offering a series of internships at the Renzo Piano Building Workshop offices in Genoa and Paris. The six-month internships are entirely funded by the scholarships offered by the Foundation itself.
This training program stems from the specific conviction that knowledge can either be transferred through information or else through practical examples and involvement.
The Renzo Piano Foundation has chosen the second path. The basic principle is quite simple: it’s “learning by doing”, and the reference model is that of an updated version of the Renaissance “workshop”.
The objective of these internships is to provide the students with the opportunity to bridge the gap between their academic knowledge and the realities of the architectural profession.
The students will become team members and will play an active role in each stage of the work activities: design, experimentation and construction.
