I emptied my recycle bin before I pulled out the stuff that I'd mistakenly deleted. What can I do to get this very critical stuff back now?

what the f**k is the briefcase in Win98 for? I 'moved' my stuff into a briefcase, deleted my 'old' files and updated everything like a good little monkey. This is horribly wrong though because in "briefcase parlance" old = original and move = link. Updating confirms that the originals are deleted and kills the links to nonexistent files. What do I do? I need this stuff back asap.

well let me offer some advise - you can go to dos and do undelete *.*
if it can be recovered, it will start asking you for names of the files and shit...and u can recover them one by one..or you can be specific if you know the name of the file :
c:\undelete xyz.dwg

Do you have the program go back?
if not try a recovey program ( data back )
and stop swearing and start praying son
