I love that house on the far left -- and the stack, and the exterior stair -- and the oddly informal signage on the right -- wait, am I missing something -- ?
It does look like that big black concrete staircase in the Laban Centre (London) by H&deM, but I can't find a view of it that shows it terminating like that....
It does look like the Laban Centre, but its not. I have the feeling that it is a museum or art gallery - Holland, Switzerland, Austria or Germany. Zaha's Cincinatti stair has a similar setting and materiality but it is linear.
Ooops! Sorry, I completely missed out on your speculations. It's in Switzerland, but there is a Dutch connection (although probably too obscure to count as a clue). Some more pictures:
whoa. that's very nice. except the flashing is waay tooo heavy. are those steel clips on the concrete wall or was it notched to receive some not required beams?
Well done Steven,
Correct.
I love RCR - I have that GG monograph - unusually, there is a section at the back of the book with alot of details, sections, plans etc.
Name that Architect and Building!!!
yup, it's loos. I think their LVM project got a fair amount of press when it was completed:
you're up p2
damn that one was rough.
i know i think it killed all the momentum...
p2an?
ok, sorry, not on archinect much the last few days

51N4E - cultural convention center in Mechelen
You got anything, a-f?
ok! Sorry about the delay. Maybe this one is too easy, but I like it:
oh, i don't know it, but i like it.
def. looks european. clues?
That steel (?) spiral had to come in through the roof, no ? One piece, up to the second level ?
a-f, if there's one things I've learned on this thread, it's that nothing is too easy...
I'll guess H&dM, but don't know the building.
some of the details would suggest either sanaa or mecanoo to me ... but i have no clue either.
It looks to me like something Andreas Fuhrimann & Gabrielle Hächler, Delugan Meissl, or J.Mayer.H would do. But then, a-f is from Amsterdam...
In any case, I have seen this before and its driving me nuts.

the curved wall keeps throwing me off to. i keep thinking zaha

I was thinking more along the lines of her Ordrupgaard Museum Extension, but no spiral stairs in those plans.
Yeah, I know what you mean. Come on a-f, more clues please!

Here's another project by the same office:
ok, i only got it because of the last image clue
em2n, public records office, liestal.
nice project, thanks for bringing it to our attention
Yes that's right. Daniel Niggli used to live (and work) in Amsterdam, hence the slight superdutch character of the em2n projects.
ahh the late nineties in NL - what a time it must have been, pity i missed it. i didnt get here til 2003.
hey p2an, how are the new office facilities btw?
we pack up this afternoon/move tomorrow and saturday.
should be interesting.
p2an...keep it going!
a-f...beautiful project...

Well done Steven,
Correct.

Off you go.
go Steven...hopefully I can get the answer correct.
mmm.... hyperbolic paraboloids! I like it, but don't have a clue. Something in collaboration with Felix Candela?
don't know of a candela connection. seems unlikely, but...
Eduardo Catalano House in Raleigh, built in 1954.
ding ding ding!
sad story: http://www.jetsetmodern.com/catalano.htm
looks like stirling at leicester, but a view i've never seen - so maybe a stirling-disciple?
Steven, I'm glad you see Leicester in this building, which it is not. It's what I call a reenactment.
