Portfolio, CV, Motivational letter, the Differences ?

arch.shaheen

Hi everyone :)

after reading comments and opinions here about portfolio, CV , for Master admitting (Europe)

Thats what i got it ,

- CV : contains Education ,Work experience ,Computer skills without rating ,awards

- portfolio : contains projects ,workshops

- Motivational letter : describe why i chose the master category and why i chose architecture as my path and what i want to be in the future

Is that right ?!

- and where i can add these things : my methodology in design -  my thesis idea in advance - own theory about architecture - competitions i had applied for (i cant put all of them in portfolio ,i just wanna to show them that i'm hard working person)

thanks in advance :)

Portfolio = what you've done

CV = when and where you did it

Personal statement = why you're doing what you're doing.

Put the competitions in your CV if you just want to list them, or leave them off. Don't include the other stuff, no one cares.
