Sounds like a disaster, better off hiring Richard for your building design I'm afraid. How many rebar were called out for the cantilevered decks? Two?

steel has serious tensile, FLW knew that, the concrete moving and cracking is fine if the steel could hold it. cracks can be designed. FLW was yogi like. it didnt really fail or did it?

The rebar stories are legendary. The workers told Edgar Kaufmann Sr. that there were not enough and he hired an engineer in Pittsburg to do an analysis. He sent the report to Wright informing that he needed to add more, Wright threatened to quit if he listened to the engineer, Kaufmann acquiesced and ceremoniously buried the report in the masonry at Fallingwater, maybe that’s what’s holding it up:)

Referring to a window, the correct term is 'lite' which I find interesting. If you ever feeling like nerding out before bed, you can't do any better than an old etymological dictionary.

It's not always the number of rebar but also the size of rebar that matters.
