A key element of The Lighting Practice's success is our ability to find and recruit talented team members with a variety of experience and expertise.  We are pleased to introduce the newest members of our design team, Matthew Fracassini, Chris Hallenbeck, and Jessica Wickes.

Matthew Fracassini, LEED AP BD+C
Project Manager
Matt joined The Lighting Practice in 2015. He has a Bachelor in Architectural Engineering with an emphasis in Lighting Design from The Pennsylvania State University. Matt was always interested in architecture and construction. He was drawn to architectural lighting because of the balance between the design and the technical processes. Following graduation, Matt worked as an Applications Engineer for an architectural lighting manufacturer in West Haven, CT. He was responsible for assisting clients and making design recommendations based on the company’s large line of standard and modified luminaires. For the past eight years Matt has worked as a Lighting Designer and Project Engineer for a high profile MEP consulting firm in New York City. Matt’s focus has been designing coherent and energy-efficient lighting with advanced lighting control solutions. His project experience includes corporate, healthcare, laboratories, financial institutions, and education environments.

Chris B. Hallenbeck
Lighting Designer
Chris joined The Lighting Practice in 2015. After receiving a BA in Theatre and Computer Science degree from Lehigh University. He pursued his MFA in Theatrical Design of Temple University. Chris has been working on numerous theatrical productions with multiple Philadelphia-based theaters and companies. He is excited to develop lighting designs that last. Chris is looking forward to developing designs that will be seen for many years to come.

Jessica R. Wickes
Lighting Designer
Jessica joined The Lighting Practice in 2015 after working as a Freelance Lighting Designer for various regional theatre companies and educational programs. She also worked as a Lighting Supervisor for several touring productions. Jessica was initially drawn to light as a medium for storytelling, which is why she pursued a degree in theatre from the University of Maryland and a MFA in Lighting Design from Temple University. Over time Jessica realized that light was an essential tool that can enhance environments beyond the stage. Her background in the fine arts has helped to shape her approach to lighting design. In her free time Jessica spends her nights and weekends training and competing in Olympic weightlifting.

We are excited to have Matthew, Chris, and Jessica join our team.
