BASKERVILL APPOINTS ASSOCIATE PRINCIPALS AND ASSOCIATES

RICHMOND, VA (April 8, 2014) – Baskervill is pleased to announce the appointment of two new associate principals and four new associates. New associate principals include Alan W. Davis, RA, LEED AP BD+C, and Jay Woodburn, AIA, LEED AP BD+C. New associates include Elizabeth Temple, Jennifer L. Compton, NEWH, LEED AP, Patricia Lopez, LEED AP ID+C, and Tracey Gould.

Alan Davis, associate principal, is a registered architect, project manager, and business development professional for the financial services and corporate office divisions, providing clients such as Union First Market Bank, Essex Bank, Wells Fargo, and FedFinancial Federal Credit Union with successful design solutions to meet their organizational goals. He is an active member of the Virginia Credit Union League, the Maryland & DC Credit Union Association, the Virginia Bankers Association, and the Virginia Association of Community Banks. Speaking engagements include "The Branch of the Future" at the Virginia Association of Community Banks Annual Convention. Alan joined Baskervill in 2003, holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Virginia Tech, and has 16 years of experience.

Jay Woodburn, associate principal, serves as project manager and project architect for clients, including Virginia Military Institute, CFA Institute, Liberty University,Collegiate School Aquatics Center, and Owens & Minor. Specializing in large-scale, complex projects, Jay's expertise rests in tight coordination of design teams with multiple stakeholders, ensuring projects move successfully from concept through occupancy. Jay holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Virginia Tech, is a registered architect in Virginia, and has been employed with Baskervill for 20 years.

Elizabeth "Beth" Temple, associate, is an interior designer in the hospitality division. Beth specializes in translating her client's needs and goals into inspired and engaging spaces. She was recognized for her work on the Wyndham Grand Orlando, Bonnet Creek, which was a Gold Key finalist. Current projects include renovations of the Hilton St. Louis Downtown, historic Gettysburg Hotel, and a new 18-story out-of-the-ground full-service hotel in Virginia. Beth holds a Bachelor of Interior Architecture from Longwood University and has 13 years of experience in the design industry.

Jennifer "Jenny" Compton, associate, is an interior designer in the hospitality division and focuses on technical and sustainable design challenges and opportunities. High-profile projects include the Kimpton Lorien Hotel & Spa, the LEED Silver Doubletree Palm Beach Gardens and Executive Meeting CenterMarriott prototype development and implementation, and Wyndham Grand Orlando, Bonnet Creek. Jenny is an active member of the Network of Executive Women in Hospitality (NEWH) and has 16 years of industry experience.

Patricia Lopez, associate, is an interior designer in the hospitality division and is recognized for her creative sensibility and passion for design. Her talents earned her an Honorable Mention Award at the 2011 IIDA Virginia Chapter for the LEED Silver Hyatt Dulles Executive Meeting Center and mention in several national trade publications for her hospitality design work. Patricia thrives in collaborative environments with clients, creating strong relationships. Select clients include the AC Hotels, San Francisco Marriott Waterfront, Hilton Baltimore, and the JW Marriott San Francisco Executive Meeting Center. Patricia holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from Virginia Commonwealth University and has nine years of experience.

Tracey Gould, associate, specializes in award-winning integrated marketing communications, including media relations, writing, and social media. Tracey oversees all internal and external marketing communications, branding, and marketing assets for the firm. With over 20 years of experience in the A/E/C industry, she has worked in several markets across the United States and is a published author and speaker. Previously, she served as an adjunct professor in public relations for two years at West Virginia University. An active member of the Society of Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) Virginia, she served on the Board of Directors in various roles including president. She is also an active member of the American Marketing Association (AMA) Richmond, serving as the incoming director of public relations, the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Richmond, and the Virginia Press Association (VPA). She holds a Master of Science in Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) from West Virginia University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Communications from the University of Arizona.
