Sustainable architecture is the responsibility of the designer and at in.it.studios we have taken great care to ensure that our designs meet these requirements.

Our sedum blanket allows for a thin profile of plants to be placed on the roof.  The practically zero maintenance Sedum plant is a durable living organism but also attractive to look at, especially from an upper level

Sedum has become a popular choice for use on contemporary garden rooms, studios and buildings, delivering a number of stand-out benefits.  We have outlined the key ones for you below:

User-Friendly:

  • Requires little if any maintenance

Insulation:

  • Reduces heating by adding mass and thermal resistance
  • Reduces cooling loads via by evaporative cooling on a building by at least 50%

  • Provides sound insulation, the soil helps to block lower frequencies whilst the plants block higher frequencies

    Performance

  • Filter pollutants and carbon dioxide out of the air which helps lower disease rates such as asthma.

  • Sedum leaves store water, which helps with the irrigation of the building

  • Sedum is hard-wearing, being able to survive in most of the weather and climate conditions here in the UK
  • Filters pollutants and heavy metals out of rainwater

The sedum blanket combined with the natural appearance of our cladding helps to create the organic aesthetic without compromising function.  All whilst effortlessly blending the studios into their surrounding landscapes.

What’s more – the roof comes with a 15 year guarantee!
