Santa Barbara, CA | Los Angeles, CA
Zoom Motors and AB design studio announces the completion of renovations to one of Santa Barbara’s notorious eyesores. The building, located at the corner of Milpas and Gutierrez, now respects the mid century roots of the original 1950’s gas station, while adapting a clean, simple modern design. This property, formally blighted by chain link and greasy car parts, now nods its head to the renaissance of the Milpas corridor.
For years Milpas has been referred to as the city’s working class heart, on the far side of town from Santa Barbara’s upscale State Street shopping neighborhood. Accordingly, it has seen significantly less renovation and beautification than other downtown areas. AB design studio worked with the client to transform a dilapidated concrete, masonry unit building in the heart of Milpas into a high class modern automobile retailer. The space is fun, classy and sleek, a grate representation of Zoom Motors and their staff and customers. It is the hope of both AB design studio and Zoom Motors that projects like these will lead to the revitalization of one of Santa Barbara’s most valuable areas.
Zoom Motors, AB design studio newest and most creative car dealership, reinvents the car buying experience. Always with a selection of the best maintained used cars on their outdoor lot, Zoom’s indoor showroom is the place to see classic automobiles from the 1930’s to the 1070’s. Whether a client seeks basic transportation or a collector showpiece, Zoom will make it happen.
