Urban Planter illustrates the possibility of growing your own fresh produce indoors, year round. It consists of a spiralling, self-supporting tube with integrated LED lighting that uses hydroponic horticulture to grow vegetables.The benefits of growing vegetables in hydroponic horticulture are well known; the yield is 2 to 10 times higher than planting soil, no nutrient deficiencies, no weeds and no diseases through soil bacteria,  uses 1/10 of water, produces higher quality, healthier and fresher vegetables, is non-seasonal, environmentally safe and convenient.
