310 at the Point

As part of a much larger resort master plan, 310 @ the Point is a development of fifteen apartments and duplexes arranged around a leisure pool and other shared facilities.  Each of the five blocks has two duplexes at the lower levels and a penthouse apartment on top.  They are arranged on the sloping site to take advantage of the topography and elevated position and have a southerly orientation to exploit the sublime views over the Aegean Sea.

This small cluster of apartments and duplexes form a micro-resort and self-sustainable retreat. As the initial development phase, it needed to be designed as a stand-alone enclave while ensuring the architecture and overall site planning could seamlessly merge with the broader resort as it is rolled out over time.

The design of the individual apartment blocks were inspired by the surrounding local context, the steep nature of the topography and the captivating sea views. The massing of each block was carefully modeled to create an assemblage of complimentary elements which allowed for a subtle expression of each individual apartment within each block.

Locally quarried stone is used on the lower duplex level and for retaining walls creating a rusticated base.  The upper levels are defined by lighter and sharper structures allowing the frontages to be fully glazed. These open on to deep terraces enhancing an indoor/outdoor experience. The penthouse enjoys a shaded roof garden with plunge pool, offering an idyllic private space for relaxation and enjoying the sunset.

Living accommodation on ground level is a series of spacious open interiors free-flowing seamlessly into each other. Space is defined with the use of furniture which could be easily moved around to suit the family’s changing lifestyle. Such open planning offers unlimited flexibility in the use of space and allows the remodeling of interior layout without the need for any major renovation works thereby saving costs and reduce construction wastage. The living space spills out into a lush green lawn through large sliding glass doors to enhance the continuous flow of internal and external space.
