spmb_BLDG [Eduardo Aquino, Karen Shanski, Ralph Glor] is an art & architecture collaboration that questions the traditions of practice through interdisciplinary strategies including design, urban spaces, gallery projects, research, teaching, publishing, consulting and any other means to instigate the public realm. spmb_BLDG searches for situations where the project presents itself as an ongoing process of unfolding, where scale, context and materiality are dealt broadly to respond specifically to each found situation: in response. spmb_BLDG is committed to creating a new understanding of public spaces, through strategies that are technologically adventurous, politically critical and socially responsible. Karen Shanski and Eduardo Aquino are the authors of Complex Order: Intrusions in Public Space, published by Plug In Editions in 2009.
