Ray Huff and Mario Gooden formed Huff + Gooden Architects LLC in 1997 as a collaborative architecture practice dedicated to the design and exploration of architecture and its relationships to culture and knowledge. Huff and Gooden work closely together on virtually every project in the office and believe that their in-sync collaboration is key to the success of the firm.
“Our work seeks to engage the production of critical architecture while simultaneously employing revolutionary drives and evolutionary movement. At a fundamental level, the necessity of architecture in our work is about the experience of architecture to move one intellectually, spatially, and spiritually.”
In 2001 Ray Huff and Mario Gooden were recognized by the Architectural League of New York with the distinguished honor of “Emerging Voices.” Huff + Gooden Architects was simultaneously recognized by Architectural Record Magazine as one of six leading firms practicing exceptional architecture outside the “...Centers of Fashion.
