Field Operations is pleased to announce its transition from a sole proprietorship to a new partnership. The firm will now simply be known as Field Operations, which better reflects the diversity, depth, and experience of the leadership team, as well as the collaborative character of our studio.

Joining Founding Partner James Corner are Partners Sarah Weidner Astheimer, Richard Kennedy, and Lisa Switkin, with Associate Partners Megan Born, Isabel Castilla, Tatiana Choulika, Matt Grunbaum, Jayyun Jung, Veronica Rivera, Karen Tamir, and Hong Zhou.

This new structure elevates some of the field’s most skilled and experienced professionals to the forefront, each with over 15 years of experience and significant achievement. Field Operations has always been about more than one person, and this new structure provides a vibrant platform for individuals to lead with vision, passion, and commitment, ensuring all-around excellence for clients, collaborators, and the communities we serve.

Our collective energy remains focused on leading-edge, innovative design, creative problem-solving, and creating iconic public spaces that are meaningful and welcoming to all. We believe in the power of imaginative design to transform cities, neighborhoods, communities, institutions, workplaces, parks, and public spaces into life-changing experiences, with beauty, grace, and a palpable sense of nature.

We also believe that our projects should actively address the biggest issues of our time: climate, biodiversity, social equity, and inclusion. Indeed, well-designed cities, public spaces, squares, parks, and waterfronts provide unique opportunities to dramatically improve the world we all share. These projects are the very vehicles that improve our environments, our lifestyles, and our collective sense of humanity. The fact that good design can also bring immeasurable joy and delight to people’s lives only further adds meaningful value.

With seasoned and vigorous leadership—and with offices in New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Shenzhen, and London—Field Operations is poised to tackle some of the most important projects around the world. We look forward to the challenges and opportunities ahead!
