Currently, undertaking a Master of Architecture student at the University of Calgary, I am a recent graduate of BCIT’s Architectural Science Degree program and a trained Architectural Technologist.
Currently I am looking for a creative and innovative firm that will utilize my design, drafting and detailing skills as a valued member of the project team. Working for a contractor-developer, responsibilities included construction detail resolution by facilitating discussions between architects, engineers and contractors, as well as contract negotiations, tender proposals, contract dispute resolution, scheduling, budgeting, interpreting the building code and site inspections.
Other responsibilities included weekly on-site review of contractors to not only ensure progress but to ensure quality construction. This role deeply involved me with the day to day aspects and difficulties of construction as well as the economics and management of constructing buildings and tendering projects for future construction.
