Administrative Office of Courts - San Joaquin County Juvenile Justice Center Addition and Renovation

The project consists of an addition of 3,845 square feet to the existing 19,200 square feet of court services area at the San Joaquin County Juvenile Justice Center.  The existing court services area is to be retrofitted for accessibility requirements including public restrooms, public access counter, drinking fountains, and site improvements.  Site improvements include RTD bus stop development along with path of travel upgrades to the parking and building entry. The existing interior building access will also improved to provide separate secure, staff and public access corridors.

The additional new court set meets current standards for a courtroom serving a juvenile docket; thus, not needing space for jury services. The design includes two new judge's chambers which will free space in the existing building to improve staff work area. Also included are additional evidence storage, accessible staff restrooms, interview rooms and separate space for court reporters area.
