New York City’s Chinatown is commonly overlooked by many. It has gone from an epicenter for Asian immigration to a center for Asian culture to a more obscure area of downtown Manhattan over the past decades.

The Chinatown Pagoda is a design proposal to create a distinguishable entry point into Manhattan’s historic Chinatown neighborhood. The design elements of the Pagoda are inspired by historic Chinese engineering.
