Temporada_Cowork_Café

Temporada_Cowork_Café is a pay-as-you-stay cafee, which conveys an atmosphere that allows you to be productive while enjoying your coffee.

Located at Porto’s art district, within what used to be a furniture restoration workshop, this space welcomes freelancers and creatives of Porto, as well as cultural programs and workshops that seek to contribute to the professional evolution of its users.

This cozy and minimalist space, with its offering of healthy and nutritious food, aims at increasing productivity among its customers.

The Design Team was led by DINAMO10, a platform that gathers a multidisciplinary team, working together in order to create, promote, and deliver value to corporate and public sectors.

The team seek to make the most of the pre-existing space by focusing on the strictly necessary intervention while creating a welcoming and flexible space that transmits the values of the brand.

Next to the front door, the bar greets the costumers and a small seating area allows coworkers to hang out and relax. Differentiated areas allow people to hang out and work in different ways, both in terms of concentration and ergonomics.

All the furniture designed for this space uses resistant and accessible materials: natural varnished birch plywood, painted metal profiles, painted perforated metal sheet, translucent polycarbonate and handmade loom carpet.

There is a Skype hub for video conferences and a nap hub for rest breaks. A long table and high benches enables a fast coffee, snack or check emails. A long bench and the skype and nap hubs are covered with traditional Portuguese rugs, thus providing comfort and acoustic protection and a special texture to the space.

The lockers were devised in a way that each user can bring their own padlock and may store their personal belongings. Next to the patio window the big tables, for longer stays permit coworkers to work in a more quiet and illuminated area.

The meeting room can be totally closed or open to the outside by a sliding wood and translucent polycarbonate door. The white walls are a support for brainstorming and sessions of design thinking. Opposite the meeting room, the high tables allow customers to shift between working seating or standing.

For the events the high tables can turn into a small auditorium.

There is also a patio where coworkers can gather together and work in a open air biophilia environment.
