I was asked to assist in building 4 models for an exhibition about 3 architects from San Diego to be displayed in the Mengei International Museum in San Diego. The first two models, I was asked to fabricate the parts with existing files. The third model, I was asked to 3D model, prepare cut files, and assemble model. Throughout the process I was on a tight deadline, continuously updating my clients on my progress. Having model making experience, they provided tips and advise on how the proceed making a museum quality model. Unlike academic models for school, precision was key. The most challenging piece was the curved walls and roof on the third model. I worked with my clients on a weekly basis, as well as submitting estimates for material and consumables required.
