As the development consultants to Jadeas Trust Consortium, and now the Master plan Managers for this project, B+TIC seized the opportunity offered by the decision of the Federal Government, to open the redevelopment of the National Arts Theatre, Lagos to private sector led redevelopment, to transform the apex cultural institution in the country and its 100 hectares of hinterland, to develop a Master plan that transforms this underutilized and underperforming asset into the catalyst for the first integrated International City Development in Lagos and the new Tourism Gateway into Nigeria, a project that consolidates on Lagos position as the regional travel hub into West Africa.
The Black Heritage theme which underpins the entire development has the potential to re-brand Lagos, into the rallying point for the Black and African Diaspora in Africa. “Festival City” Master plan includes a Cultural Cluster with a School and Business Incubator for the Creative Industries – a Residential and Business Park Cluster and a Leisure and Lifestyle Cluster.
A PPP framework for the development of this project is currently being worked out with the involvement of Lagos State as the Host Government and Project Sponsor and the Federal Government as the Asset Owner.
