Banner Fort Collins Medical Center

This project, consisting of a new hospital, health center, and central utility plant, is the first of a multi-phase campus build-out. The building houses a 16 exam room clinic, 24 inpatient beds, five OB rooms, imaging, two operating rooms, lab, pharmacy and an emergency department.

Designed for flexible, incremental growth, this 151,000 s.f. hospital will be able to adapt to emerging healthcare trends and remain a state-of the-art facility for years to come. Master planning involved locating the building to maximize its visibility from the main access, to increase visibility of the front entryway for wayfinding purposes, and to create a memorable presence. The exterior design consists of masonry walls, which are stacked and layered to mimic the panoramic vista of the Rocky Mountains. Varying sizes, finishes and colors give the surface of the building a uniform textural quality.
