    Fibrous workshop in Istanbul...

      first of all very interesting workshop and photos! i wish i could take part in it too!

      ...are they pouring concrete into those fibrous tubes?? ... seems nice!

      yup LaFarge company was one of the sponsors in this workshop, we tried a special concrete to test such fibrous structures that generated in Parametric softwares in order to test to structural performance...
      the results were amazing after we took the frames out, they did not fall..

      did you put anything in the concrete, some other fibers or was just concrete?? what kind of a special concrete is a special concrete?

      does anybody else think that architects are well behind the game when it comes to building technology?

      take a look at the hoses used in the first pic. they are examples of what you are trying to do in themselves aren't they? even the sewing in my socks are!

      its good to have fun though.
