In 1949, Jack A. Bialosky, Sr. broke ground in what is now recognized as the gold standard in early modernism. His approach to commercial, institutional and residential projects are considered iconic; homes designed by Jack Sr. are now designated historic landmarks. His first major commission for Suburban Temple in 1954, continues to flourish and the firm has done each of the four major additions. Rededicated in 2007 in honor of its founding architect, it is known as “the house that Jack built.”
What was once a one-man-office is now a multi-generational firm led by Jack Bialosky, Jr. with a nationally acclaimed portfolio in residential, commercial, industrial and recreational projects. The firm’s expansion in higher education projects has soared with commissions including signature buildings at Ursuline and Muskingum Colleges and projects at Seton Hall University and Cuyahoga Community College. Other milestones include the award-winning corporate headquarters for Progressive Insurance and Crocker Park which has become a national model in urban mixed-use developments.
Bialosky + Partners Architects has been recognized by the American Institute of Architects as a Gold Medal Firm, the highest honor awarded by its peers, in recognition of great depth and breadth, a collaborative environment, and having a cumulative effect on the profession over a substantial period of time. The firm’s initiative to seek out talented ambitious designers, artists and experts and add them to the creative process has fostered richly innovative partnerships with designers such as Maya Lin, David Moss, and Architecture Research Office.
For sixty years and counting, Bialosky + Partners Architects continues as a practice committed to craftsmanship, sustainability and innovation.
