By interpreting latent properties of wasteland and strengthen these qualities the site obtains a significant meaning within the interim period. 

Horti Botanici Intertempus, the botanical gardens of the interim, exhibits wild often protected plants and flowers which can be found at wastelands. By renaming each wasteland to Hortus a chain of exceptional gardens is created. Each garden with its unique flora by soil composition, shelter and exposure to rain, wind and sunlight, becomes an unique location within the city.
