Renovation of an existing house into a traditional house through interventions of passive design elements such as continuous verandahs, sunshades for all openings and cross ventilation. Also, tropical architectural elements of a hierarchy of  tiled sloping roofs with pergolas add a uniquely local flavour to it. The plan is characterised by a large "Great Room" which has a double height roof and opens into the river side. All bedrooms are accessed off the Great room and have views to the river.
