About 

For the past 10 years, I have been working in the architectural field with my focus varying on different forms of design and construction. I have had the privilege of honing my architectural abilities on three widely different scales. While in the process of completing my education, I immediately went to work for a small architectural firm whose focus was primarily commercial with some aspects of residential design. This company laid the ground work for my passion in the field, as well as my career and ability to lead others.

After the recession, hit I was able to keep myself involved with architectural consulting for real estate developers, completing as-built surveys for their various properties. This opportunity lead me into the next phase of my career, working for a small firm once again, but solely on projects based in New York City and the surrounding boroughs. While designing complete projects and creating permits sets to complete construction documents on commercial and multifamily residential jobs, I gained a wide knowledge of the NYC Department of Buildings and its workings, including but not limited to zoning analysis and a large understanding of the building code. In my short time with this company, I also had the privilege of managing large jobs, which made me perfectly suited to handle prototype retail jobs.  It was this knowledge that helped me acquire my current position.

 

The position I currently hold is an upper level position; Project Manager / Architect. I have worked solely on retail projects ranging from façade renovations to ground up buildings, as well as mall renovations; small and large scale. I manage a team of 4, directing them as well as working with them to design complete construction documents suitable for bidding and permitting. I currently handle all submissions and shop drawings, and feel I am truly versed in this field. While I have only been at this job for a short time, I feel my talents will be utilized to their fullest potential at a new firm where I can work with my fellow employees, to help achieve the task at hand.

CREATE Architecture Planning & Design, PLLC, New York, NY, US, Project Architect

 Completed full sets of Construction Documents to be used for Bid and Permitting.
 Lead design teams to the successful completion of retail projects whether they be ground up or renovation.
 Managed construction issues and client relationships.
 Created LOD’s for tenant and developer use during the design phase.
 Incorporated prototype drawings for tenant review and submission.
 Coordinated with subs and engineers on project team for a successful build.
 Used my personal knowledge of building code and zoning ordinances to help fellow associates during the design phase.
 Completed and returned all product submittals and request for information on said projects.
 Led code research for the firm and provided accurate code and zoning analysis.

 Designed and drafted from start to finish complete sets of drawings for DOB Submission.
 Handled DOB Objections and re-worked drawings to meet such objections.
 Researched projects within NYC Building Code and Zoning Resolution, to ensure a proper build.
 Field measured existing buildings and new sites for all new projects.
 Managed client relationships.

Perez + Radosti Associates, East Windsor, NJ, Project Manager

 Managed 40 subcontractors constructing new $54.6M luxury condominium building in Brooklyn, NY.
 Ran weekly meetings to handle onsite constructions issues, and dealt with Department Of Buildings.
 Handled subcontractor coordination to ensure a timely build.
 Dealt with strategic issues that arose during the build and ran a team to overcome any inconsistencies that would arise.
 Developed work breakdown schedule, and schedule of phases.
 Completed construction documents using versions of AutoCAD Architectural Desktop 2002-2010.
 Oversaw the design, drafting, and completion of projects from Design Development through Construction Documents.
 Lead field measuring teams when As-Builts drawings were required.
 Drafted and designed on multiple types of projects including: Residential, Commercial, Industrial, Healthcare and Food Service.
 Created multiple universal details that could be tailored for most projects my team was working on.
 Used my specifications of the project to answer Request for Information and submittals as they arrived.
 Created COM and RESchecks for any and all projects that required for these tests to be done.
