DAIRY DESIGN

Milk & Treat Dairy is a combined dairy facility which performs both the function of a dairy plant and a dairy farm. It has a dairy farm with 200 cows of 75-85% pure milking breeds. It covers the area of 320 ropani (40.23 acres) land where 230 ropani is dedicated to the fodder plantation and 90 ropani for dairy facility establishment. It has the special provision for the shelter and fodder of cows including free circulation and washing. It has the use of rotary milking parlor which is a new technology in the context of Nepal. It also has a dairy plant of 10,000 daily milk production capacity with the consideration for water treatment, rain water harvesting, solar power and manure based bio-fertilizer.

The main objective of the dairy is to provide a dairy which is properly planned for free circulation and clean sanitation inside the facility as well as all the necessary facilities which is neglected in the context of Nepal. Like other architecture, dairy center should also be developed and should be well designed.
