Midtown West

Located at the western edge of Midtown New York, our client acquired three 2-bedroom apartments and a 20’ stretch of hallway between apartments. Our call to action was to integrate these spaces into a grand, flowing home that takes advantage of the surrounding views while giving privacy to the bedrooms.

The entry hall focuses on the glass waterfall centered in the apartment. Upon reaching the center, panoramic views of downtown, the Hudson, and the hills of NJ beyond open up. This panorama of views form the dining area’s backdrop.  A custom built stone fireplace marks the space between the dining and living area.

The open spaces are tied together with a neutral white oak floor that runs through all rooms, including the bathrooms.  The perimeter millwork wraps around the entire home, to form windowsills, HVAC covers, storage, and cushioned window seats overlooking the river.

The master bedroom wing occupies the northwest corner, with an ensuite bathroom overlooking the skyline of midtown.  Guest bedrooms in the south wing share proximity to a custom built sauna situated to take in the sunset over downtown and the Statue of Liberty.
