River Road House

The client purchased this rare Victorian house along the Pennsylvania bank of the Delaware River. In the course of researching the history of the property, they discovered that the storage building alongside the main house had once been a summer kitchen. This became the inspiration for this project for this former resort owner and his entrepeneur fiancee. The scope of the project encompasses converting the house’s kitchen into a new service area with a mudroom, laundry and guest bathroom. A glass box element will create a sculptural connector to the new kitchen building as well as provide a sunlit dining area. The former storage shed shall then become a large commercial-grade kitchen with doors leading out to an outdoor grilling area and a large patio dining/entertainment area.
