The Chao Cancer Center is an existing center in which the lobby
serves as an information and waiting area for the UCI Medical
Center campus. The Center required the addition of advanced
imaging technology, which provided an opportunity to remodel
the space with a sophisticated and welcoming atmosphere to
accommodate these high profile areas.
The project encompassed remodeling 2,000 SF, including the
main lobby and simulator/CT scan/linear accelerator rooms. The
main lobby added soffits and cove lighting providing a brighter and
friendlier atmosphere. The new simulator/CT scan/linear accelerator
rooms include spa-like finishes to bring warmth and comfort to these
equipment intensive areas.
