About 

Growing up in Mexico, I was immersed in a rich and vibrant culture which significantly influenced my design approach, instilling in me a deep appreciation for the interconnectedness of culture, environment, and architecture. My experience as a foreigner has honed my adaptability, resilience, and ability to work collaboratively with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Having navigated different environments and languages, I am adept at communicating effectively, fostering understanding, and building relationships with colleagues and clients. 

Employment 

Arquitectonica, Los Angeles, CA, US, Project Designer

- Developed technical drawings for a mixed-use, luxury, high-rise apartment project in Hawaii.
- Revised unit bathroom and kitchen layouts to ensure ADA compliance. Created enlarged plans and elevations with detailed ADA annotations and material callouts.
- Modeled a complex transfer staircase to accommodate new building layout per structural consultant requirements.
• Created door and window schedules for the project.
• Used Revit to model the site’s topography, as well as ground level and
amenity deck landscape, including paths, lounge decks, and pools.

The Code Solution, Los Angeles, CA, US, Architectural Designer

- Led conceptual design proposals for a variety of projects, including multi-family
apartment buildings, single-family homes, and mixed-use spaces. I used my
creativity to design interesting buildings facing strict budget and time constraints.
- Managed and developed detailed drawings for multiple multi-family housing
projects at various stages.
- Coordinated with MEP, structural, and landscape consultants to produce detailed
construction documents, gaining an extensive knowledge of building systems.
- Managed city submittal processes. Communicated directly with city planners,
worked on project revisions, and familiarized myself with Los Angeles city codes
and regulations.
- Picked cost-efficient materials and finishes for projects to achieve target design
intentions.
- Sourced and secured a new client in my first year.

ARCspace, Los Angeles, CA, US, Architecture Intern

- Developed solutions for the affordable housing crisis in California using modular
construction.
- Approached and developed partnerships with leading-edge companies in
sustainable cleantech. These partnerships significantly improved the performance
and scope of our units.
- Engaged the president of the Downtown Los Angeles Neighborhood Council and
actively worked together to implement modular construction as a solution for
homelessness on Skid Row.
- Procured investors for a modular community project. Crafted schematic design
focused on sustainability performance and community enhancement.

- Proposed a design solution to a problem plaguing a client’s special needs school
project. The proposal was approved, and I was elevated to a lead designer while
as an intern.
