The challenge was to create a welcoming friendly place to live for the elderly and at the same time keeping the standards of the public building.Ser- vices have been separated into different volumes allowing for an internal microclimate within the heart of the courtyard. Moving in between vol- umes means moving between different facilities. From private to semi-private to public.Both inter- nal and external spaces are taken into considera- tion.
