URBAN AND ARCHITECTURAL IDEA

OF THE EASTERN PART OF POMORSKA ISLAND

IN WROCLAW

In connection with designating Wroclaw to represent Poland as the European Capital of Culture 2016 - one of the most important programmes of the European Union, we developed an urban and architectural idea of the hotel and conference centre, located on the Pomorska Island on the Odra River in the very city centre, in the vicinity of the Market Square. The building perfectly blends into the urban layout of the Old Town and can become due to its form a symbol of this cultural event. In the city centre lacks similar hotel and conference facilities and the proposed building would fully fulfill its role during the implementation of a variety of events of the above programme.
