Automated Restaurant

Alright basically the restaurant idea is pretty strait forward in this design the restraint is two stories tall. On the first floor the restaurant has four rows of booths one set on each wall and two in the middle. When people enter they are seated at one of the booths someone can do this or they can seat themselves it depends on the restaurant but does not really matter. Once seated they order their food using the order box that is present on every table. The order box comes with a small microphone that the customer picks up to complete their order. The microphone allows the order box to distinguish the loudest voice and get the order right. The order will appear on the screen before it is processed. The customer can pay using a credit card or cash and use a payment machine either on the table as well. And I would suggest having them pay first but that can be at the choice of the owner. Once the person orders the order is sent to the second floor of the restaurant.
The second floor is where the cooks are located and they enter on the first floor through a staircase at the back of the restaurant. There is also a service elevator for supplies. Now in the kitchen the cooks make the food and once it is ready it is placed on the platforms above the tables. The circular serving trays are the unique feature of the restaurant. Instead of waiters serving the food the food for each individual table is placed on the individual serving tray above the table. The tray then lowers down through the floor to rest on the table. The customer then collects the food off the tray and it goes back up. So kind of a back to the future restaurant theme.
Now as far as clean-up there are two ways it could be done. You could have someone clean up the table and then take it to a small dumb waiter in the cleaning closet and send up the dishes to be washed. Or just have the customer put them back on the tray and send them up but again that’s up to the owner of the restaurant.
