Lulu Vere Childers Hall Re-Design

The Lulu Vere Childers Hall, better known as the Howard University Fine Arts Building housing the Chadwick Boseman College of Fine Arts, is located on the northern end of the Main Upper Quad or "The Yard" at Howard University. Due to the growing need and demands of the enrollment of the college, a new, state of the art building is needed to maintain Howard's motto of  "Excellence in Truth and Service". The front of the building faces south towards The Founder's Library and the main yard. The back of the building faces north towards the male dorms, Burr Gym, and Greene Stadium, all high volume areas of traffic.

Of my complete interest, I took it upon myself to do a redesign of the building expanding a small portion of the footprint but provided accessibility for students and faculty to be able to access different parts of campus. With approval from the Dean Phylicia Rashad and critical review from my professors, the final design and renderings are complete. Project details can be found on my website.

This project is not in association or collaboration with Howard University nor any of its affiliated contracted enterprises.
