Uber Headquarters

A winning competition of Uber Headquarters in San Francisco. Analysis of programmatic requirements led to the concept of the 'Solarium' as a method to connect users and programs, encouraging collaboration, bringing daylight within the space, and providing natural ventilation through operable windows. The goal was to provide a stimulating work environment through the creation of varying 'neighborhoods' within different programs.

The Solarium functions as a connector of neighborhoods, connector between different levels of privacy and stimulation control. As a result, the Solarium became an urban contemporary mixed use city as a whole.
