In collaboration with the Downtown Brooklyn Partnership and Illuminations, we fabricated vibrant, multicolored lights that hung from some of Brooklyn’s busiest streets: Fulton, Adams, and Livingston; Flatbush Avenue; and Boerum Place. In order to accomplish this, we produced 500 steel structures in only two shapes – a half circle and a triangle – and displayed them in various color combinations. In total, the designs wrapped around 480,000 linear feet of rope light (more than 90 miles!) and 260,000 mini-lights. The lights were then hung overhead, above the streets and from light poles, brilliantly delineating Downtown Brooklyn.
