Professional Experience:

Architect for the design of facilities and infrastructure of the US Government’s AAMDS site in Poland, which will house the Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) System. The master plan included the perimeter security, AT/FP, weapons standoffs, roadways, athletic fields, and buildings. The site consists of the necessary facilities to support an operational AAMDS, including missile MEB, magazine, launchers, radar, power plant, COMMS, water supply, fuel, fire station, general warehouse; a multi-purpose facility containing barracks, dining facility (DFAC), physical fitness center, medical center, MWR recreation center, locations exchange with outlet and barber; access control facility containing gate house with pass/decal functions, vehicle inspection, overhead cover and guard tower; and security control facility with operations control center, armory and security/admin spaces. Work includes all necessary supporting infrastructures, including underground or otherwise connecting communications, cabling, equipment, utilities, general road work, flatwork, paving, and parking lots. Low impact development and sustainable design principles are included in the design and construction of this project.

Converted a historic house in Cambridge, MA into 4 connected townhouses with a modern addition while developing BIM standards and meeting tight deadlines as a solo production.

Created a flexible BIM model to adapt to the rapidly changing design and construction type of a large 4 story wood frame apartment building in Cambridge, MA while moving forward with construction documents and developing BIM standards, and libraries.

Transitioned the firm from 2D CAD to BIM while managing and developing BIM standards.

Base Planner/Architect for this $5 billion air base, the largest in Iraq (50,000 troops/25 km2). Participated in the Joint Base Balad master plan project including draw down and future Iraqi Air Force F-16 bed down planning. Department of Defense contractor embedded within the USAF 332nd Expeditionary Civil Engineering Squadron - Tuskgekee Airmen. Assisted with the responsible draw down of forces in accordance with the status of forces agreement and base planning. Responsibilities included preparing visualizations of the base land use through data collection and mapping software; developing and maintaining the base master plan; and reviewing facilities to ensure proposed designs were in accordance with building code, UFC, AT/FP and DoD explosive standards. Removal and relocation of 3,500 CHUs saved American taxpayers upwards of $175 million as well as reduced the U.S. Forces footprint.
