Zhiyi Li is an enthusiastic architecture designer graduating this year in May, from University of Michigan, as a master of architecture student. Currently, Li is looking for a full-time position after graduation, with strong preference for offices in New York, San Francisco and Chicago.
Li completes her bachelor degree at South China University of Technology, which trains her to become an astute problem-solver capable of handling complex projects within different scales. She has spent her senior years learning urban design, and attending collaborative workshops, which gives her the opportunity to design with students from different culture. The previous experience cultivates her leadership, patience, sense of responsibility and communication skills.
Li's interests as a master degree student, which lie in the intersection of reverence to the site context and the narrative, compose most of her work that employ the architectural space and representation to tell the stories. Her work spans various scopes of design including social housing, local institutional architecture, urban rejuvenation proposal, etc. Her ongoing thesis project, which focuses on the development of global shipping routes due to the global warming, takes her to ta brand new range and perspective to view the role of an architect.
