About

My background in civil engineering provided me with a deep understanding of mathematics, mechanics, and structural design. This knowledge proved invaluable when I transitioned into architectural design, allowing me to approach design and optimize results from a more rational and scientific perspective. During my graduate studies, I continued to build upon these strengths and developed a keen interest in parametric design. Through design studios and technical electives, I became highly skilled in Grasshopper and Python, as well as advanced modeling software like Maya and ZBrush. I also gained familiarity with cutting-edge technologies such as 3D printing, carbon fiber weaving, and bio-material robotic fabrication. With these skills at my disposal, I feel confident in my ability to expertly apply parametric design principles to architectural design.

Employment

Differential, Computational Designer

- Works closely with Computation Design Lead to develop a rooftop for a housing project in New Zealand, uses parametric design tools to complete sunlight/wind/rain analysis, and generates and optimizes structural elements such as supports, runners, and panels.
- Participated in the design team for the ICON Initiative 99 competition, completing work including 2D/3D modeling, rendering, and several analysis through computational design methods.
