Zeidler worked with WilkinsonEyre to design the new pedestrian bridge over Queen Street, replacing the existing structure that connects the Eaton Centre with the Hudson’s Bay and Saks Fifth Avenue. The existing bridge, designed by Zeidler (in association with B+H) in 1978, sees more than 2 million crossings annually. Encased in floor-to-ceiling glass panels with spiraling angles, the bridge’s dynamic sculptural form will create a new civic landmark for the City and enhance the urban realm experience.
