The suburban condition of many American cities is characterized by the infrastructure that is built for the automobile and the pockets of cookie-cutter houses it produces. But the highways and overpasses are considered as ugly intrusions on the landscape that no one wants to live next to. This projects looks at the prime example of highway exchanges in order to utilize the interstitial space that is produced by the collision of suburban living with suburban infrastructure. This interstitial space has the capacity to take on some infrastructure qualities that the suburban housing discards, while inversely glitching the existent suburban housing system. This is achieved by incorporating dense towers of urban living, that are parametrically driven by the highway exchange, in order to create a buffer between these two drastic constraints.
