Among the 8 projects, 6 are done by myself, 2 are group work.
One is Iceland Trekking Cabin Competition entry
- My role: closely work with Architect Friedrich St. Florian in design research, schematic design and design development. Major contribution is solving a key design problem by inventing a skin folding mechanism that allows for the cabin to fold and unfold from a footprint of 16 square meters to 100 square meters through mathematical analysis and analog modeling.
- Additional credits: Concept of the foldable cabin is totally Friedrich's idea. The final renderings are done by Mike, another team member.
The other is Integrated Building Systems | Fall 2016 | Instructor: Brett Schneider
- My contribution to the team: zoning analysis, concept design, lighting design, Beam&Gerder plan, Cost analysis, environmental analysis, etc. The images shown are my individual work.
