Yiran Zhou, a newly graduated student from UCLA, is practiced in traditional architecture design work and exploring the potential of technologies in architecture field. In UCLA, under professor Güvenç Özel, he researched on VR, AR and MR technologies to maximize the possibilities of architecture experience, as well as machine learning algorithms to inspire the traditional design process. In his undergraduate study, Yiran designed a series of interactive silicon joint installations and participated in SDC 2018 competition, a 3-years real project competition, which gave him a good understanding of material, structure and innovative design workflow. He is currently preparing for Leed Associate exam and looking for a fulltime job which allows him to do further exploring on architecture and integration of technologies.
