Tongji University, Shanghai, CN, Bachelors, Environment Design

Design Department* of College of Architecture & Urban Planning of Tongji University (CAUP ranks No.1 in China among all architecture schools) at the time offered a more comprehensive and diversified platform (compared with Architecture Department) for undergraduate students entering the design world. Life in the multi-disciplinary academic environment exposed me to the respective charm of each field of design, where the most creative and aesthetically gifted students in the college were growing into prospective graphic/communication/product designers. Meanwhile, as a student in environment design discipline, we had the privilege to all the resources and a whole set of fundamental architecture courses for training practising architects.

*Design Department became independent from CAUP and expanded as College of Design and Innovation in 2009, now one of the most popular design schools in China.
