The clients had an existing planning approval for fairly mundane extensions and had never built the scheme as it didn’t meet their aspirations. We were approached and came up with a radical solution that transformed the whole feel of the house to ensure it delivers the wow factor required. We proposed reconfigured the house so that it works much better not only in terms of design but also practicality.

The proposal increases the size of the house through extensions and reconfiguring and takes it from a 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom house to a 5 bedroom, 5 bathroom property. The rear of the house has new floor levels that allow it to link better with the garden which is 2 metres lower than the main house. Externally we retained some of the best features of the original house whilst updating to give a modern contemporary feel.
