Yasmeen Abdal is a Kuwaiti multidisciplinary designer. In  2021 she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design and a minor in Media Studies from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn New York.

Over the course of her combined academic career at Pratt Institute, she found herself moving between departments in attempt to diversify her practice beyond spatial design and more towards art, media and critical analysis. In completing a minor in media studies alongside her major, she found herself becoming more and more captivated by her intrest in visual culture and multidisciplinary design practices. Her work draws inspiration from a variety of lenses and approaches by utilizing design as a strategy to facilitate dialogue. She is passionate about producing a sequential narrative of space that focuses on framing experience where design, culture and visual narrative meet.
