Collaborative Galleries in Chelsea

Through the history of museums and galleries, the density of artwork collection was decreasing. Comparing the private art collection in 16th century and modern galleries, represented by ‘white cube’, we can see their difference of how many paintings hung on the wall. Based on the survey of galleries scattered in Chelsea district, in recent decades, the density of artworks in galleries decreased, while galleries change their exhibitions more frequently. There is the balance of efficiency and exorbitance in galleries.
