Terms such us ambiguity, contradiction and duality characterize this project: the static nature of the housing block is becomes movement of collective spaces; its closure to the outside and to the atmospheric agents is at the same time an opening towards the inner parts. The rigidity of the installation is flexible for its inner elements; the heaviness of the volume changes into the lightness of its internal parts. So the inner space, as a collective space, becomes the engine which commands the project, a space continuously moving and transforming that assumes the role of a grand manor, with all the typical characteristics of the Japanese private space. A series of sliding containers break the static nature of the installation in which the house is located. These containers house the collective functions like: exposition spaces, shops, relax space and greenhouses, green containers that penetrate the space, instead, the fixed volumes contain the necessary utilities: a centre for the elderly and an a playing ground for kids and various other services. The movement of each container leaves an empty space which is defined just through its momentary essence .

The housing block in CA recalls an ancient Japanese building of the 16th Century. It is a compact complex that acquires width, and in which the independent and self-sufficient living areas are placed, each one with its own elevator or escalator. The CA block is cut out with fissures, streets defined by their form, but interrupted by the presence of the volumes as they are occupied.
