I am an architect, currently residing in Cincinnati, who will be relocating in the very near future.

I am interested in an office with a diverse field of practice, an appreciation for innovation yet whose design is founded upon timeless notions of how we inhabit the spaces in which we live and work. I believe in an architecture whose form, derived from the core of its functionality, can affect positive change to those who interact physically and visually within and around it. 

As strong as my interest in the conceptual power of our built world, I am equally as passionate about the materiality of construction. My interest as a designer is in ensuring and exploring the manner by which the initial spark of an idea grows finally into the form of a building. How the selection of a material or solution of a detail is able to reflect back and relate to the whole, the ability of a buildings story to permeate and be read at both the micro and macro level.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the University of Kentucky, and a Master’s degree in Architecture from Columbia. My professional experience in the US includes practice in small, medium and large sized firms (5 to 150 people). I have worked on a wide range of projects – including commercial, multi-family residential, health care, hospitality, contract interiors, and design build. I have spent the past year in Cincinnati working on projects consisting primarily of corporate office buildings and interior build outs. Prior to that I lived for a number of years in Athens, Greece.  While there I collaborated with an office on a project by project basis while also growing and maintaining a partnership in a small design firm.

I have extensive experience leading design teams as well as coordinating all aspects of projects before and during construction. Contractors who attempt to cut corners during construction tend to not like me by the end. Contractors who take pride in their work, on the other hand, appreciate my presence. I am particularly skilled in the conception phase of projects, but am at the same time highly detail-oriented. I thrive on finding appropriate solutions to challenging situations.
